I really enjoyed the ESPN2 announcers during the ArkState game. I know one of them was a UNT grad, but it was really nice to hear them constantly talk up our team, players, and offensive/defensive style. Here is one of my favorite announcer comments:

"This team is so athletic, and they relentlessly attack the basket. And there is no such thing as a transition defense after they take a shot because the Mean Green players are too busy attacking the boards and climbing over each other and the other team to get a rebound."

I really loved the “climbing over each other” part! Anyone else got some favorite quotes?

It was about the same time as the above quote that Jimmy Dykes said something like "Another North Texas weapon....the missed shot."

My favorite quote came from Clem Haskins during a telecast of a Western Kentucky- New Orleans game. Haskins mentioned that UNO had defeated NT and that "North Texas is a very physical, powerful and well-coached team." Clem Haskins scored 8,743 points during a 9-year NBA career and as a head coach at Western Kentucky and U of Minnesota had 323 victories and one final 4 appearance.
