Do We Play Better Without Kd?

Please don't interpret this as any kind of flame, but it seems to me that these guys are determined to step up and distribute the ball better while KD has been out of sync yesterday, and the missing tonight.

I just bring this up, because of a post-game quote by MTSU coach off the Sunbeltsports.org site:

“I’m a big fan of Kendrick Davis, but I think North Texas has played better without him for some crazy reason.”

I hope he comes back and contributes, but not at the expense of what the others have been doing in the tourney. If we can put it all together, look out!

Some teams simply respond better to big challenges or when their backs are against the wall. With the things this team has struggled with all season it wouldn't have surprised me that they turn it up a notch. They have out hustled their opponents many times when that is all they have going for them, and just like tonight, that has been just enough. Can't rely on it of course but it's nice to see it when it happens.

Was KD's stomach flu for real or was it the Alcohol induced stomach flu from the celebration of the win in the quarterfinals? The way the DRC article read today, it sounded as if the flu was the result of the celebration after winning on Sunday.
