just received word that North Texas' game against Middle Tennessee in the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference tournament will be shown on Ch. 52 in the Dallas/Denton area. The game was already scheduled to be shown on ESPN+Plus.

The Mean Green (21-10) is in the midst of its best season since Bill Blakeley roamed UNT’s sideline in the 1970s. A win against MTSU would give the Mean Green a shot at an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament in the Sun Belt tournament finals.

i don't think that this information is correct. i called KDFW directly and they said that they were not showing tonights game. I also called the athletic department and they said that to their knowledge it would NOT be on Channel 52. i am not sure where Brett got his information but I am 90% sure this is incorrect.

ESPN plus games, in the past ,have come on either 3 or 6 on Charter, can't remember which one. But , neither as of the moment is showing on the menu that it will be televised tonight.

Even better reason to meet up at Fox n Hound in L'ville 2Nite :D

Upon further review no TV for UNT

An athletic department official just let me know that there was a misunderstanding concerning North Texas game against Middle Tennessee being on Ch. 52. He was under the understanding that the game would be on TV, but was later told UNT head coach Johnny Jones would be interviewed before the game, but the game would not be shown.

Misunderstanding, miscommunication, whatever; we need to get the DRC and UNT on the same wave length some time. It would have been nice to have it on TV.

Guys, here is what I think happened:

We (ntTV) took some footage from the MUTS game back in January down to KFWD today so that they could talk about UNT on Southwest Kia Sportstalk. The producer then decided that it would be good to try and get Johnny on the phone for an interview. I'm not sure if they got the interview or not, but they did air the highlights and talk about tonight's game on the show. It is likely that Vito was around when Steven Howard was getting Johnny ready for the interview on 52, so that is probably where the miscommunication/understanding occurred. I think I need to go watch the game now.

Vito should be called out on the carpet on this one. Great win regardless!
