Biggest game in the history of Western Civilization....unless we win then that will be Tuesday. ;)

We beat the Blue Raiders pretty decisively about a month ago(and I say that because it was one of the few games NOT to come down to the wire). Still, MTSU has upset 2 schools already so far - they look to be playing their best ball right now.

And for those looking ahead ASU already beat UNO tonight.

MUTS beat a team that has already made the tournament (Belmont). They are a good basketball team, but if we play to our potential we will win. I hope that KD finds his shot tommorow night.

Lord knows I am ready for another win. If these guys keep it up I can guarantee you will see a lot more people in the stands next season.

I hesitate to say because I don't want to jinx anything....but I could see 4K+ for the Conference Championship banner raising(hell I might fly home for that!). One game at a time though...beat the Raiders!

--Hope so, but you would have thought going for a 20-win season on Wednesday and a being a tournament game would have drawn at least twice as many as it did. Basketball crowds are more about student attendence than Alums since they are often on week-days.

Yesterday, one of our assistant coaches said that the MUTS have changed up a bit by playing a taller line up. He said that they are playing much better ball since we played (and beat) them a month ago. I am a little concerned, but believe strongly that we will readily handle them if our players maintain their intensity level plus KD gets his game back. I can't say enough about how our players have stepped things up since the tournament started. It obvious that they have their game faces on. Oh - And how 'bout that Harold Stewart!?! Where has he been all season?????????

Thanks man. Yall have another great team this year too - I figure a 2 seed(3 at worst) is in store.

I didn't know of JJ's Memphis connection until you mentioned this and I read up on the NT athletics site his bio. Good to see Coach Cal's coaching tree "grow" per se. It's especially evident as a UNT alumn AND UTEP Miner fan (a la Tony Barbee).

It kind of explains some of the tendencies in JJ's teams I've been reading about. UTEP fans are not bball ignorant, and it has taken us some time to get used to a system that really is meant to allow the players some freedom to use their athleticism.

Whatever gets the W's, right? :)

I stand corrected! My dead brain saw the assistant position he held in 1998 mentioned in the bio and just assumed. I thought Cal had been there for a while.
