Well, well, well-- Stoops has all of the Oklahoma spring workouts closed

to the public. The spring game will be on TV, national ESPN broadcast.

Stoops will be trying to find a QB, with Paul Thompson gone. Their hot

shot recruit from MI,Keith Nichol,6-2,180lbs, is rumored to be given the

opportunity to earn the starting QB job. They also have R-FR John Ninmo,

6-1,190lbs and FR Sam Bradford,6-5,197lbs, in the mix. Last years back

up,Joey Halzue,(sp?),6-3,198lbs is a JR as well as Hays McEachern,5-11,

180lbs--holder for PAT's/FG's.

Looks like the Sooners do not want anyone to know whats going on with

the QB position, and I am sure the Sooners are still smarting from the

loss to Bosie State.

Will their new QB give us an advantage? Maybe, but it is still Oklahoma!

I beleive Cocah Dodge will have our team ready, and will give Oklahoma

more that they think!

Why would they close practices and then have the spring game on TV? If their starters are good, or if they suck, it's going to show during the spring game. Even if they run just a few basic running and passing plays.

Is NTTV going to broadcast this year's spring game?

If not, why not?

It would be the most watched thing they've broadcast.

I do not know why Okla will close the spring workouts to the public, then

have the spring game on national ESPN coverage. TV money?

I guess the Okla coaching staff do not want a debate from their fans

as to who the starting QB will be--

This sounds like our situation--who will be our starting QB!

As far as NTTV covering the NT spring game, I think this is

a good idea. I would prefer that all the NT fans to come to the

game, tail gate, and fill up Fouts to show our support!

SMUt is starting practice today and the DMN said their practices will also be closed to the public, except for their spring game March 31. Like SMUt has any talent to hide anyway?

Please don't slap me from saying this but I think it might be a good idea to keep most of NT's spring practices closed to the public as well. There is going to be a huge learning curve and loads of media attention. I'd want to keep the kids attention on learning and not the media/fan spectacle.

How? You can park on the 35W and watch everything that goes on. Add the fact that the fence around the field doesn't provide much visual protection either.

You build a wall. You make it 11 feet tall. You see- normally, most NCAA teams would build a wall as tall as they could - 10 feet. But us- here's the great part, we build ours 11 FEET! That's a whole foot larger than the largest allowed!

"Why not just have a 10 foot wall and make it thicker?"

"....but our's goes to 11."
