And yeah, I agree. The kid winning the cash was awesome. I remember one time we were at SFA back in the late 80's and they did that same thing for a new car. You had to hit a freethrow, a three pointer and a mid court for a new car. During halftime, "Eppy"(with me in the suit) hit a half court shot just before the start of the second half to simply show it could be done. The Lumberjack dude didn't like being showed up and had the kids up in the stands tackle Eppy and start pulling his arms off. Funny stuff. When is the last time we have seen our mascot travel and perform during an away conference game?

Anything less than an NIT invite is a huge disappointment..

I hope you haven't bet your home on us making the NIT if we don't make the NCAA tournament.

Indeed, even if we make the final I doubt an NIT bid. I WOULD call a 22-11 campaign a successful one though should that happen however.
