They are indeed open until May. I'm working with the Save Fry St. group, Ski told one of our members the other day. The developer is playing games. He realized what he did with Chi was a mistake and actually developed a conscience and didn't do the same thing to Ski, thought he almost did.

93.3 The Bone was on location there today. They had a promotion where the first 93 UNT students who came by got free pizza.

Were they able to get 93 people to show up? My guess is there was alot of leftovers...

yeah... i understand that everyone is gonna miss the tomato, but fry street is a dump, hands down. why would you want to save it? and keeping the local flavor is no excuse for being trashy and run down. i think we should applaud anyone wanting to make a change for the better around our campus. that whole area is an eye sore. this upgrade will definitely make going to UNT a lot more attractive to future students.

Disagree...in the sense that I live in the friggin suburbs, where if the paint gets chipped on a street sign, someone authorizes my HOA funds to come and make it look new again.

I am a fan of the character (and characters) that you see around Fry Street. It is not perfect, thank you.

And as for the Tomato...I can tell you I would never eat at a place that looks like the Tomato if it were in FM...but somehow the dirty air vents, the worn carpet and disgusting bathroom makes me feel like I am tempting the dark side when I go get the best pizza in town, in Texas for that matter.

I think The Tomato will have the last laugh in this whole Fry Street refurb: When the developers finally tear that building down, I think the land will be condemned as unusable, for asbestos and other environmental hazards!

I am pulling for a new, non-smoking Tomato!

I came home for one last piece of Tomato pizza this week. It was...spectacular.

You're right...nowhere else would I eat at a place like that...and I wonder if the amount of human urine that has seeped through the asphalt in the back parking lot would make it an environmental disaster zone...
