I was reviewing our current d-line players from the MeanGreenSports.com roster. ( I wish MGS could keep accurate information on the players height/weight updated ) Anyway, I see there are

many D-Ends as per DD style. I wonder if any of the current d-ends could change to NT or DT?

I hope DE Eddie Gilmore can come back this fall. What if he shows up at 290lbs? Could he play

DT? Could Blake Burruss at 6-7,play DT? I like Joseph Miller at DT. MGS has listed his weight at

275 since he came to NT, so what is his correct weight? DE Montey Stevenson is 6-2,290, drew

double teams last year, could he move to NT? Tye Rexode looks like a possible NT candidate

also. Draylen Ross looks like he could develope into a DT too. What do you think?

I suspect that Golmore will stay at DE, where he can rush the passer.

Since Rexrode is a converted RB, I am gonna suspect that they tried to convert him to a DE.

An article was posted some time ago that predicted moving Mendoza to DE. I thought that makes sense given our depth at LB (surplus) and depth at DE (thin). That would also help supplement depth, should any DEs get moved to DT.

I don't think Burruss will weigh enough to clog the middle (DT).

I saw Gilmore and he's definately thicker but probably more in the 255-260 range from what I can tell. I don't know if he is DT Frame or not but gawsh he is tall and long armed. It will be real interesting to see where they line him up. My guess it will be defensive end.

I predict Gilmore and Chapman at DE with Miller and Stevenson at DT. Burrus is too tall to play in the middle, so I would expect he will be the first one off the bench to spell the DE's. I think Rexrode fits into the DE picture as well, and Owusu-Hemeng is intriguing.

I would expect Isaac Thomas to be first off the bench to relieve the DT's with Ridge and Stewart providing depth. Draylen Ross, provided he could add some weight, could possibly move inside.

Also, did Ransom gain an extra year? I would like to see him play somewhere near the potential he supposedly possessed when he arrived. Krider, Ellison and Pistole should provide depth.

Ransom didn't end up getting his extra year and Ellison and Pistole are gone. It will be interesting to see who will be starting on the DL next year.
