I have to go with the “yes” for HOF. Sorry but the history of football accomplishments at UNT are not to the point yet where leading the Nation in rushing does not rate as an automatic qualifier. As was mentioned, if he had 3 average/poor years and tore it up his senior year there would be no question that he would be headed for the HOF.

Jamario is a lock, can't believe anyone would doubt him going into NT HOF. A freshman year were he was not only leading rusher in nation despite only playing for 3 or 4 plays against UT and half the game against Baylor. He was also MVP of the Belt, Freshman All American, and third team All American. With a year to go he has 2830 yards rushing, how many NT players can top that. The NT HOF is not exactly super exclusive, most football players already members can't come close to Thomas's accomplishments.

I hope Jamario has the kind of senior season to finish on a high note. He won't get the carries in TD offense to be close to a rushing champion but still should finish close to NT all time leading rusher, but even if he doesn't get one yard he is still definitely a NT hall of famer.

His freshman year gets him in. Like it was said above, there aren't many national rushing champions, and for a "Sun Belt running back" running behind a "Sun Belt offensive line" it was an amazing accomplishment.

I would say YES...but I would still like to see a big season from JMO before he graduates. He had that one game against Colorado for 200+ yards and blew out the SBC. Like to see him get back to that one more time.
