2007 Official Invite NFL Combine List

No Johnny Quinn or Dylan Lineberry on invitation list to NFL Combine on February 21 - 27, 2007 at the RCA Dome.

How are players selected for the NFL Combine?

Participants are determined annually by a Selection Committee. The Directors of both National and BLESTO scouting services, which combined represent twenty-six NFL teams, are joined by members of various NFL player personnel departments to form the committee. The participating NFL executives can rotate on a yearly basis, and remain anonymous. ALL eligible players are reviewed and voted on by the committee members. Each athlete receiving the necessary number of votes, by position, is then extended an invitation. While it is not a perfect science, the goal of the committee is to invite every player that will be drafted in the ensuing NFL Draft.

So if Quinn and Lineberry are off the list, the chances of them being drafted are slim and forgetit?

I guess they will both keep working out and look at FA to a team.

Quinn has known he was going to miss the combine due to ankle surgery so no surprise there. He will be in camp for someone as a free agent for sure.

March 30, 1pm. They have Lineberry, Graves, and Quinn down for the trials. Are there any other seniors that will show what they have?

I have seen Jarvis go as high as #12 and as low as #28 on three Mock Drafts so far.

I am actually quite surprised not to see Dylan Lineberry on that list. He has been consistent in his grading (usually graded-out the best), has good size and speed, and has been recognized.

Also, I have got to say that I was quite impressed with what little I did see of his play in that senior bowl in Houston. JQ I am not that surprised about (too small), but this was a bit of a surprise.

I am surprised that Brian Smith, DE/DL is not on the list. He is from Missouri and a Denton Ryan product. I realize he got hurt in the middle of last season, but he was the all-time sack leader at Missouri and lead the Big 12 in sacks for his soph and junior seasons and I think lead this past season until he got hurt. Anyone know anything about him?

J-Quinn is a good 6 foot or 6'1 and over 200lbs. He has good speed and soft hands. I dont see a reason why he cant make it with a team as a free agent.....
