To redeem my standing on this board for earlier comments made towards women's soccer...the last report on the blog was talking about softball team, and on the MGI there is a pretty good interview with the softball coach and the progress of the program.

Now where the hell is Vizza :D

That may be, but what makes his decision more important than the other ones who've already faxed their letters in?

it doesn't make it more or less important, im just saying, the guy has been torn between a couple schools throughout this process. What may be an easy decision for others may not be for he, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

As of a couple days ago, he was still solid on coming here.

With stealth recruiting, we never knew who we lost out on at the last minute, who was wavering or who we got at the last minute. The class was pretty much handed to us at one time. This has been a pretty interesting morning.

It is pretty weird to be here getting absolutely no work done while wondering if we're going to sign some 18 year-old kid who may or not be the QB of the future.

exactly smitty...if he did that, he may have forgotten something at home and couldn't leave school to go get it...

For those not reading other headlines

Vizza's letter on the way
San Antonio Alamo Heights quarterback Giovanni Vizza has signed his national letter of intent, which is on its way to North Texas, a source within the Alamo Heights athletic department said Wednesday afternoon.

Vizza apparently left the official copy of the letter at home and is preparing to fax it to North Texas after retrieving it.

The news should come as a relief to UNT fans considering Vizza backed out of a commitment to Nevada and is among the top players in the Mean Green's signing class.

It is done...VIZZA LIVES

12:00

Drumroll please ....

Giovanni Vizza – 6-1, 195 QB San Antonio Alamo Heights

-- Vizza took over the quarterback spot for the Mules in 2005, succeeding Chase Clement, who went on to lead Rice to the New Orleans Bowl in 2006. Vizza earned all-district honors in his junior year before leading Alamo Heights to the state title in 2006.

-- “He just always seems to rise to the level of his competition, and his leadership qualities are tremendous. His ability to read defenses coupled with his comfort in Coach Dodge’s offensive scheme I think will help him fit in very quickly.”

– Alamo Heights Head Coach, Don Byrd
