Not bad! It certainly looks better than "Daffy Eagle". I would still like to see the "Scrappy" of the early 60's made available for either a T-shirt or window sticker.

Is that the scrappy that they made a bobble head out of?

I would love to have bought that one on ebay. But it was a little steep for my blood. What did it sell for? 1200?

I dl'd the photo and made a poster for work from it.

"The new Scrappy is primarily for merchandising," Watkins says. "It won't be replacing the athletics icons or be used on official letterhead or business cards. But it does give people the choice to use Scrappy for merchandising or promotions."

That is a quote from the article with the new Scrappy. WHERE IS THE NEW MERCHANDISE!!!!!???

I like this Scrappy, don't get me wrong, but where are all the people saying its "too cartoonish"? It's just as cartoonish as the other Scrappy. I like them both though, whatever sells t-shirts and hats is fine with me.

It's just ok. It kind of looks a little too vulture-like. His beak is too long and curled, and what's his other foot doing or holding? I'd rather see it extended below the Mean Green. Are those winged-fists he has? It is a step in the right direction, but still needs to be tweaked a little I think.

Seems like the "buff" Scrappy of the 1960's with chest sticking out had an "N T" on his chest.

Correct me if I'm wrong LoveMG, but I believe that one foot is squeezing a football (nearly in two) and the other is holding the Mean Green banner.

I believe that the "barrel chested Scrappy" was used on NT gear all the way through the 80's. I have a insulated beer mug with that image on it, and I took a window sticker with that image on it, and made a very nice wall clock for my office. They put that image on 16oz. drink cups all the way through the 80's. I haven't seen the image in recent years. Someone once said that the image is actually a "stock" Eagle cartoon image that was adjusted (green and white with NT on the chest) for our use.

The only 60's scrappy image that I have ever seen was a less muscular "scrappy" that had the same fierce expression as the one described above. The 60's scrappy that I remember was always looking toward your right as you faced the image, and it was just standing. The "barrel-chested Scrappy" was always looking (and walking) toward your left as you faced the image.

I always liked both images.

I like the new one as well.

I just don't like "daffy Eagle".

Silver Eagle, have you by chance scanned this sticker?

Or does anyone know of webpage that has these Scrappys as an image?

I really want to see them and if I could get my hands on the graphics, design some really cool t-shirts using one of them. Thanks!

Sorry Ironman. I don't own a scanner. The only "scrappy" sticker that I have is the one that I used to make a wall clock. I could take it out to be scanned, but I don't know anyone that has a scanner. Surely there is a web-site that has those "classic" images.

I dont think he's holding anything... I think he's just running and is in mid "bound" over the mean green banner. What looks like the line continuing something in his talon is just the line of the second claw. It's a cool graphic.
