Ex-Eagle transfers

North Texas running back Evan Robertson, who showed flashes of becoming Jamario Thomas' heir apparent last season, has enrolled at North Central Texas College in hopes of regaining his academic eligibility, said his father, Eddie.

Eddie Robertson said his son, who will miss spring practice, plans to return to UNT in August if he finishes the required coursework. Robertson rushed for 407 yards and had a combined three touchdowns on offense and special teams.

This may hurt him on the depth chart. Dodge is going to put a lot of stock in what he sees in the spring so when/if Evan gets back in the fall he is going to have an up hill battle.

No one to blame but himself, but hope he makes it back.

I hope that he makes it back, too.

With Montgomery (and maybe Mosley) coming in I think that we'll be okay at running back but Evan will/would've likely been the leading kickoff and punt returner which is so critical for good field position.

Im sure he can turn it around....Is there any way he can practice in the Spring????

I would think not since he is not even enrolled at UNT, I would assume there would be some kind of NCAA violation.
