Ofcourse the players get top honors...

But, how 'bout the Pit Crew starting the chant "Stand Up" to all the fans. And, the subs on the Mean Green rallying the fans as well. It was a super night. But, I do think it is important to thank those who helped stiumulate the crowd...when things starting looking bleak.

Congrats' to Coach Jones and the Mean Green basketball team. And, as they do on big wins...the players came around and shared the love with the fans! Class!

Thanks to all who played an important role in the game...

Where was Marc Moffett? He played no role in the victory....

I am really really glad you brought this up. The "stand UP" chant really made the atmosphere 100X better once people decided that maybe the students were right and it was a basketball game and all. Big Props to The Talons for starting that (at least I think that is who started it).

Also.......did anyone see just how much the men were showing school spirit. I know Sturns put up the Eagle claw twice, along with Jared Ruffin spelling out U-N-T during the fight song. That is the kind of stuff that makes us as fans proud as can be.

Zeke your right on. Ruffin was spelling out UNT! Colin and all the rest were really doing a GRAND job. Fans enjoyed congratulating them after the game.

It was an electric last few minutes...

...and the Mean Green Pep Band! Sorry, to leave ya out. One word: Awesome!

I picked a great game to make my first one of the year.

When the crowd came to life after the "stand up" chant, I saw the team really feed off of that and they

seemed to lose that "deer in the headlights" look they had from about the 16 minute mark.

I do see what some of the grousing over JJ is all about. Whether he called off the dogs after the 21 point lead

or the players dialed down the intensity themselves, he needed to put a foot in somebody's backside and get them attacking

the rim like they were throughout the first half and early the second. Having a home crowd motivate the players is great but I would

expect a little more motivation coming from my own bench. Could this be why we have fared so much worse lately on the road?

HMMMMM.....

BTW... I didn't see the attendance figures. It seemed like a decent crowd. How many were there?

3500 attendance. I also noticed that we stopped aggressively attacking the basket in the second half. News flash to the Mean Green coaches and players: You outsize your opponents in the vast majority of games. We are a BIG team. Commentators from WKU, USA, ARLR, ASU, etc. have all commented that our size makes for difficult match ups and that we just need to take more advantage of that. We should be driving to hoop all night! There is little they can do except foul in most cases. If Wooden keeps playing like he did last night, this could be a fun ride.

I think we were attacking until Wooden went out, that's when things really changed. We would throw it in to Q, but the double team would be there quick. I think when Wooden was in there WKY couldn't double as often.

Marc Moffitt was in in the highest, last row in the corner of the 300's section at the Mavericks Game.

Rick and I have better seats for UNT than Mark Cuban has for the team that he owns.
