That's funny.

Never "run up the score" on an opponent...it could come back later to bite you. What goes around, comes around.

Agree----- but when thirteen players score it looks like the bench is playing and the coach is not running up the score. [ nine players had 10+ min of playing time ] What are the reserves supposed to do?, play keep-away. [ can't anymore... shot clock ] The opposition can't complain if they can't stop the bench players. ... they just got whipped.

See...that's different. You don't tell your kids (expecially the last 5 on the bench) to "not score." Since those last 5 on the bench see little time, it is important for them to play hard when they get a chance.
