Tulsa Recruiting

Arkansas QB Mitch Mustain is transferring to Tulsa, and the staff might be recruiting several players from Cedar Hill, which won one of the 5A Championships.

WR Dezmon Briscoe

ATH Will Cole

S Tory Tyner

DT Cameron Thompson

WR Dezmon Briscoe is a very big time receiver. Great route running skills with size and speed would be a great fit for UNT. I am liking the way the staff has been recruiting, but I would love to see one of these guys in a UNT uniform.

At least one media outlet reported that Mustain would transfer to Tulsa. But according to the Morning News of Northwest Arkansas -- a paper based in Mustain's hometown of Springdale -- the quarterback hasn't made a decision on his next school. Mustain's mother told the Morning News that a decision regarding his college future would be made in the next few days.

This is according to a Tulsaworld article. Looks like Tulsa doesn't have him yet.

Mike Irwin is reporting that Mustain has yet to decide where he is going to go, however, since classes have started at the two schools most likely for him to end up at, it is a pretty good bet that we will know soon. OU and Tulsa are the two odds on favorites. Don't be shocked if he ends up at Tulsa, along with Andrew Norman and a couple of other players. Arkansas's program right now is a joke, getting worse by the minute. Not sure if Nutt will survive or not.

Did they not just play for the SEC Title. I understand they've had a wierd offseason but calling for the Nutt job would be a little crazy.

You are correct they did play Florida for the SEC championship this past season, it was a very good game. With the stable of running backs they have, McFadden was runner-up for the Heisman, and the big QB they have things look pretty bright for the hogs.

True, they played for the conf title, but if you really think that calling for his head based on what he has done this past season is a little crazy, then I have a question for you - did you call for DD's head before they fired him? If so, go and look what Nutt has done in the past 8 seasons before the hire of Gus. Wait, take the last two seasons before. They were 10 - 1 this season, before they had the usual collapse that they have under Nutt. Nutt has lost control of his program along with AD. They both need to go.

True, they have two great backs coming back, but they will be forced to go back to their play calling without Gus, and so they will see somewhat similar to what DD saw his final two years where the opponents just put 8 and 9 in the box and forced him to beat them with the pass.
