Just Curious if its time yet to start planning this year's game... I have been talking to Stebo at work and we are ready to go after our fourth consecutive victory....

Med... If you are heading it up this year and all that I would love to help out holler at me....

I also think we should set a date early so Jaydub can fly in for the event...just an idea

I would really liked to see this packaged with the spring game somehow?

Like maybe a GMG BBQ for players and fans on a nice SPRING SATURDAY afternoon, followed by the GMG bowl at FOUTS field, to then be followed by the Green/White game. There could even be an intermission between the two with the Green Brigade giving a nice little show, and then have a concert following the Green/White game (acts such as Bowling for Soup or Cross Canadian Ragweed types).

Hell Promote the hell out of this and make it one ticket for all, use the GMG bowl to rasie moeny for the andrew smith scholorhip fund and the green white game to sell season tickets. Between all of this i would think we could get 10k or so to show up and support there school on what could turn out to be a great event every year to sell the University and Football team

Just to let you all know, I am starting my speed and endurance training as soon as I get back from San Antonio Sunday. Past records mean nothing, this time it's personal.

If memory serves me your first TD pass WAS to my side of the field. It was thrown to FFRick at the practice field fence, behind me at cornerback, Zeke at safety, and 15 yards beyond the endzone. :D

P.S. They won't allow us on the same team because every play we run would be "Emmitt run past the coverage and I'll hit you."

I know I know I threw a pick with the first pass...

But again...my response was similar to that of last year as my second half interception was thrown....SCOREBOARD...

Can we ALL just get on one team for once and see what happens...ZEKE, FFR, EMMITT and MYSELF...

Oh come on Rick, lets not have some revisionist history. I had one pass completed one me...............your deep endzone TD. The Green Team won with an excellent attack of short dump off and run for 10 yds................this worked to perfection. Was it 30.............well, ok maybe not too much revisionist history :)

I do have to agree with this though:

I agree with Scrotty here. This should be a long term goal. Just don't think we could make it happen on such short notice. Believe me, planning something like this on short notice = NIGHTMARE. Example: Original North Texas Pit Crew the night we booked 2 bands, free food, and a huge spotlight in attempt to Pack the Pit. Never again without weeks to plan and a budget. We nearly killed ourselves...and I nearly killed many others in stressed out rage leading up to that night.

(That...and Ragweed is too expensive these days...Bowling for Soup is touring right now...I'm flying up to see them in Salt Lake City tomorrow night).

We do need to try to plan this event a little better next year...with all the things that G'NV describes above. The Mean Green Nation is growing...and more and more need to be involved in things like this.

Oh and I do need a little notice on the date so I can plan my shift swaps accordingly and possibly get my jumpseat-time in at the same time.
