I am new to college ball so I don't know much about the NBA draft. Does Rich Young, Calvin Watson, and especially Kendrick Davis have any chance of going to the next level?

None of them have any real shot at getting drafted, but I wouldn't completely rule out KD getting some kind of a free agent look at the NBA. Unless he really steps up his game, Europe is most likely his best bet. Watson has got the length they like, but other than his 40% mad bombing ability, he really hasn't shown much to garner much attention beyond secondary leagues.

Not drafted but if they impress someone enough to go to training camp and impress someone enough there to take a chance and put them on the roster...at the end of the bench.

Otherwise, I hope they learn to speak French, Spanish, Italian, Russian or maybe even Greek to play in one of the European leagues.

NBA D league at best. They have roster spots to fill and the comp is actually very good. I go to some Austin Toros games and they have guys who either: A) are "tweeners" and just can't fit on an NBA roster, but are very talented B) project players, especially guys with height that just don't have enough experience C) guys who never have had, nor will have a shot in the NBA, but are good players that fill needed roster spots and won't complain about playing time and know their roles.

Games are a lot of fun and have a "minor league baseball" feel to them.

Coach down here is ex-celtic, Dennis Johnson....very friendly and approachable guy.

It's depressing to note that we haven't had a player drafted in 22 years now. The last was the not-so-great John Horrocks, who was picked late by the Mavericks during their "Obsession with the Tall White Man" period in the mid-80's when luminaries such as Uve Blab, Bill Wennington and Bill Garnett were taking up valuable space on their bench.

If recent greats like Jeremy McFall or Unjel Masters can't get drafted, then no player currently on the roster has a chance.

Its a shame we peaked in the Trilli era. I'll bet Unjel still looks like JayZ

1949...Howie Shannon...Round 1...(9th pick of the Providence Steamrollers)

1967...Willie Davis....... Round 10...8 games ABA

1967...Rubin Russell...............12...26 games ABA

1969...Lee Winfield..................3...7 seasons NBA

1970...Joe Hamilton.................9...6 seasons ABA

1983...Ken Lyons....................2...Did not play

1984...Ken Horrocks................4...Did not play

Does anyone remember Howie Shannon? He played one season for North Texas in 1943. After WWII he attended Kansas State which is listed as his school on 1949 draft list.
