Southlake Carroll junior QB Riley Dodge gets sick seconds before he throws the go-ahead touchdown in Southlake Carroll's Class 5A Division I state final win over Austin Westlake. Late in the fourth quarter and the score tied, 29-29, here is the replay thanks to Fox Sports Southwest. Watch the endzone view broadcast replay. Guaranteed to be one of the most talked about plays in Texas football history. :wacko:

The receiver at the top of the screen moved off the line to get the play from the other receiver on that side but never reset himself on the line before the snap. He got back in position a split second before the snap. Seems that should have been a penalty ... not that I care.

Props to Riley for (literally) gutting it out, but anyone who's played football for any period of time knows that phenomena isn't that uncommon.

Just not normally caught on film. :D

Riley is an absolute competitor. He threw up again on the sidelines after the TD. There was a backup QB warming up, but you couldnt have removed Riley from that game if he had a leg fall off. The kid is a leader and is tough. I dont know where he will play college ball, but that kid will be a winner...regardless of his size.

yeah, and I got right back into the Tavern and finished off a couple more jager bombs!

      Construction is finished inside. You can jog laps around the whole concourse to help burn off the calories from the poor quality bad chicken tenders. During preseason games they had all the concessions open and even a full bar concession near the NT Blvd side baseline. To be honest they probably popped all the popcorn during the first game a few weeks ago and will slowly serve it to all of us suckers the rest of the season. And the best food they had, the jambalaya, hasn't been seen in probably 4 seasons. But it's only a 2hr game. Stick a QT taquito in your coat pocket and bring it along if you want "gourmet" concession food. Also, I don't live in Denton and I make pretty much every home basketball game, even during the week. When my office was in Plano you could leave at 6pm and be parked by 6:50. I now leave downtown Dallas, pickup the wife in Plano and head to Denton and still make 7p. And I usually just walk out to the parking garage at 5pm to accomplish all that. If you're looking for better excuses just say the Super Pit seats are uncomfortable.
