This was the all-star game Todd Dodge was going to be head coach in before he accepted the UNT job. I'd bet they still mention Dodge and UNT during this National broadcast. Coaching convention during this weekend too in SA.

bump. Starts in one hour.

There is also a All-American High School game to be played at Shreveport. I know of a kid from Pflugerville that is participating in the game.

Someone said Dodge was out there right...?

Dodge cannot coach in the game (he was to be the West head coach) since he took the NT job, and Mendoza was to be an assistant. There is a coaching convention going on in San Antonio this weekend too and it was posted Dodge may be there looking to fill some assistants positions remaining.

Hey Buff....that Shreveport game was played yesterday (Friday) at the Independence Bowl. It's called the Max Emfinger All American Classic, and features a lot of great players from around the nation, but is a notch below the San Antonio all-star game.

In the 70s and 80s....Emfinger was the "Bobby Burton" of that era. He was the first Texas recruiting guru, that most of us had ever heard of.

That freakish, Reggie Bush like clone, Noel Devine is playing in this game today. Should be good.

Rick

Joe McKnight is better, I saw him when I went and watched the John Curtis Hoover game....he was pretty unbelieveable, scored a touchdown every 2.5 touches

I didn't hear a mention of UNT or Dodge during the game...but maybe I just missed it. It was more about big schools and big recruits (obviously)...which is understandable. I still love watching these top high schoolers play.
