Tell them to win their conference TCU lost to BYU who would be in and Hawaii lost to Boise St.

I count 7 schools on that list that didn't win their conference. 3 schools that did are not on that list. If you let 4 SEC schools in, you need to let in a couple deserving 11 win teams.

You've gotta love controversy. There are 8 teams that didn't win there conferences on the list I stand by the 3 conferences not represented a 4-5 loss team doesn't belong playing for a national championship. When it come to the remaining spots even looking past ranking you have to look at strength of schedule. TCU beat one ranked team and Hawaii lost to the only ranked team they played. The 4 SEC teams listed finished the regular season at, 12-1, 10-3, 10-2, 10-2 all four with several wins over top tier programs. Problems still persist but when you've got several teams with 10 wins the tie goes to the team who beat other teams with 10 wins not the team who beat Eastern Illinois or UC Davis not to say none of the teams on the list played spares or there own.

I just want to know what makes the SEC so great? They don't play anyone worth anything outside of each other.

Hawaii lost to undefeated Boise State, Oregon State(who beat mighty USC), and to Alabama in the first game of the season(a team that 3 weeks later lost by 1 point to Arkansas) all by less than 8 points.

You can have TCU because they didn't beat anyone too important.

YOu know your almost changing my mind Arkansas didn't really beat anyone but Auburn but your biggest arrgument is that Hawaii barely lost to a team that beat a good team and barely lost to an other team the barely lost to the team that got in instead of them. I wish more non BCS schools could make it but you've gotta draw the line somewhere.

you're absolutely correct. They play cupcakes outside of each other, then only duke it out for 6-7 weeks within themselves. sooo weak!

I'm not arguing that but who is to say that the SEC is the toughtest, why not the Big 10, Pac 10, Big 12, etc?

Thats really not the point I'm not saying th SEC will do that every year. It just turns out they had 4, 10 win teams all ranked in the top 12 this year. Last year it would have looked like this.

USC v. Florida State

Texas v. Texas Tech

Penn State v. TCU

Ohio State v. Alabama

Oregen v. LSU

Notre Dame v. West Virginia

Georgia v. Va Tech

Miami v. Auburn

Ok I hoped to prove the SEC wouldn't get four teams but I failed.

Big 10 - 2

Big 12 - 2

Pac 10 - 2

ACC - 3

SEC - 4

Big E - 1

Mount W - 1

Indep - 1

I did just realize in 2002 only 1 SEC team would have been in.

I think last night's game should answer that question. They already are going to cannabalize each other as is - I see why they wouldn't schedule anything else when you are going to play probably 2-3 top ten teams and 4-5 top 25 teams in conference. Michigan and Ohio St. were exposed in their bowl game - Florida wasn't. Ohio St. played their conference and a Texas team that beat only one good team all year - an OU team that, like all the big 12 schools, couldn't beat an OOC opponent in the top 25.

I stand corrected.
