Ok, my wife got the new vehicle, and it came with a free year of Sirius. My questions to those of you with satellite radio are:

Have you enjoyed the service?

Is it worth the money?

If you travel a great deal or long time for work it is excellent.

You have NASCAR fixing to start, NBA, NHL, NFL broadcasts and plenty of College Football to choose from. Plus you have a ton of music channels

And it is all comercial free.

I like the NFL coverage (except when the Cowboys are getting waxed ). Been nice catching a Mavs game while heading back to Tejas or Arkie State.

I've got XM and absolutely love it. I always thought it was kind of dumb to pay to listen to the radio, but after having it for a year I am hooked.

I prefer XM due to MLB and NHL (becomes exclusive to XM next season). I'd certainly take either one over local radio, but I wish they'd find a way to up the sound quality.

--I have Sirius... I really like it.... Traveling across West Texas (long distences) it is great. can listen to any NFL game I chose plus any type music I want... plus I sometimes listen to "E" and "Radio Classics". The BBC can be interesting at times. The version of news you get there is not exactly the same as reported on US newscasts.... definitely not what you hear on RNN (Republican News Network, aka Fox). As one friend told me --you can listen to an entire program before losing the signal (not a big problem in Dallas area I bet but is out here ). I also listen to ESPN and NFL network quite a bit as well.

---Radio classics can be good and my kids once listened to tapes of the "Green Hornet", Shadow, Lone Ranger, etc. which is available on Radio Classics. I was willing to try anything to keep the heathens in the back seat somewhat happy and not killing each other.
