Just curious as to your thoughts up to this point. Seems to me most of the games have been blowouts, not a lot of intriguing match-ups.

Oops, that should read "spoiled" in the sub heading...

Absolutely correct. I haven't even watched most of the games. Every time I turn on a bowl, it is already out of hand and I have no desire to keep watching a lop-sided victory.

On a related note, the MUTS got killed, and by a MAC team no less.

Well...the SB has one really good game, and one really bad game. Central Michigan was a really good team this year, though.

Overall, I think they picked the match-ups wrong. It seems that there are a LOT of ranked teams going up against a lot of unranked teams. BTW, is anyone looking forward to the UCLA/FSU game? UCLA SHOULD kill them...but this is college football and anything can happen on any given "Saturday".

I'm keeping an eye out on several teams during the bowl season just for the sake of being a college football fan. I'm looking foward to see how a couple teams continue to fair, including Rutgers, Wester VA, and Louisville outta the BE.

The ACC bores me.

Intriguing: The UF/OSU title game, and the Rose Bowl. How will USC respond after blowing a title game opportunity against UCLA? How does Michigan respond to the snuff? Personally, I love the matchups of these titans of the football world.

A Florida win would be awesome. Oh! And LSU? Who are they playing? I think they're as good as anyone in the country right now.

bah, I'm rambling. Back to work...

Any football on TV is just fine with me. Gotta soak it up enough to get through the drags of basketball and baseball season.

oh I agree with you there... in about 1 month, I will be begging for mismatched bowl games :P

I have to admit, I am a football junkie. I follow college ball first, then high school, followed by the

pros. I will try to watch as many games as I can get away with. I really enjoy the fall season-

football, deer hunting, holidays, cool weather!

Since NT is done, and the Cowboys are basicly done also, hunting seson is done, whats left--

I am really looking forward to our recruiting--the 4 weeks of January are going to be fun to watch-

Signing day, just like Christmas morning--Wow!

I am expecting some big surpries with several top ranked players coming to NT.

Spring ball, when ever that will be--will be exciting also. To see DodgeBall in action! Wow! I can see the NT fans packing the stadium for the spring game!

Now if I can just make to July, and see DCTF on the shelf !! I know the excitment of NT football

is just around the corner!

      I don't think some do the research, just that their entire college sports view is shaped by the convos they get at the watercooler at work, or a small circle of bros that have been beer talkin' over the same 5 conferences (anchored in football) for 20 years. The NET, committees, and them thar advanced metrics be damned. Don't need them!

      Depth Chart vs ECU

      I think what Odom was running at USC was a 3-3-5 that had a “RUSH” position serving as a hybrid DE/LB, so really only 2 second level linebackers, making it similar to a 4-2-5 in effect. Different from Caponi’s 3-3-5 stack.       ***OFFICIAL UNT vs. UTSA IN-GAME DISCUSSION***

      Offense lacks a vertical passing game. People have raved about the top 5 offense in passing yards per game but per the NCAA website and ESPN (NCAA is more precise with some of the numbers), CM is 48th in yards per completion at 12.37 YPC, 41st in yards per attempt at 7.85 YPA, 45th in completion percentage at 63.7%, and tied for second in pass attempts at 422. The numbers show we don't push the ball downfield as much as others and that we aren't efficient enough considering how little we do that. Being top 5 in passing yards is simply a volume stat at this point. We just throw a ton. Screens are great but when it's most of what you do, it gets dicey. Those and run plays start off as negative yardage plays dependent on blocking. Can't have those every drive. About teams figuring out EM, our competition has gotten better.
