An amazing run by Newton.

We need to sign him.

Indeed. Maybe Coach Dodge can keep him and Riley together. They're both juniors. But Newton's being looked at by most of the Big 12 and TCU.

How disheartening must that be for Southlake opponents? Got to face both of these kids again next year.

Also, how impressive is this Westlake quarterback?

This is turning out to be a great game... SCHS 36 / AWHS 29

Tre' Newton was unstoppable on that run...

Riley Dodge is makling some nice completions...

Hopefully both will commit to NT when the time comes. :)

However we already have one piece of hte puzzle figured out... Todd Dodge!

Go SLC... Go T.Dodge... Go Mean Green...

Did anyone hear the post game TD interview? Said how proud he was of this team and that he only had 6 returning starters from last years state title team. That's some pretty awesome coaching in my book.

Yes, and I heard them say that the offense only had ONE returning starter....simply amazing. It also sounded like TD's voice was starting to crack (from emotion) a couple of times, a la Dick Vermeil, but that would have been understandable in TD's case.
