I was looking at the 2006 roster on MeanGreenSports.com.

I was interseted in the TE's, and how they fit into Dodgeball.

Here are the TE's listed, and some comments:

Charlie Brown, So, 6-4, 239lbs, Question for Mean Green Pop--how is Charlie recoving from his

surgery, and will he receive a medical redshirt year? Get the ball to Charlie and he will do the rest! Priceless!

David Collins, Fr, 6-4, 220lbs, Is this guy a Micheal Irvin clone or what? Lots of speed, great hands

Bryant Seidle, Fr, 6-3, 230lbs, played as true freshman, got some catches!

Victor Gill, Fr, 6-5, 235lbs, I beleive he was a redshirt, looked good last spring.

I can see all 4 of these guys changing to WR, and playing in TD's spread offense.

All 4 are tall, big targets, have good speed for big guys. How would you like to be a 5-10 corner

trying to cover one of these guys?

I do beleive TD can find a way to take advantage of the mis-matches our TE's can create!

Dodge Ball cannot get here fast enough!

Of those listed the one that impressed me most last season was Collins. Seidle played well, but Collins just seemed the most athletic, though I didn't remember him blocking much.

Charley has recovered completely from his surgery and the Doc says he is more likely to hurt his other shoulder than hurt this one again. As usual he is working out daily and looks great. He is now a trim 250 and I say trim because it's all muscle. Hell he scares me now and I'm 6'4" and weigh 350. He can't wait to get back on the field and is looking foward to the new regime.

We are finally going to see what a pass catching tightend can do to a defense when utilized properly. All the above mentioned TE's have the skills to run good routes and catch the ball. I'm exptecting big things. DodgeBall doesn't utilize the tightend inside like we are used to but rather in the slot, and he moves them around all over the place. The opposing LB's will now not only have to watch for the back out and recievers dragging across but also watch for the TE coming out as well. There will be very few LB's in the Sunbelt that can cover Brown and Collins. Both have great speed for big men and both have very capable hands.

People inside Fouts who have ordered the personal stadium seats to go along with their season tickets probably should go ahead and cancel them because their not going to be sitting all that much anymore trying to stay awake in the process.

Victor Gill was not here last spring, came in this summer with the other freshmen. But, he did look good in the pre-season practices.

I agree totally... proper use of Tightends opens up sooo much. And almost guarantees a score once in the redzone. Key word(s) "proper use"...

We are so gonna win the conference next year.
