Are these just exhibition games?

As far as the NCAA is concerned...yes. The NCAA will not recognize a game against a NAIA team. It is not included in our won/loss record and the stats are not added. It carries no more weight than the game against Texas College.

The NAIA teams may consider them as valid but I'd be surprised if they'd want to do that either, since they should both be losses. On the other hand, privately we will consider them part of our won/loss record so that it gives us two more wins.

It's a wierd situation. They don't exactly count(not in stats, etc) but they aren't technically exhibition. So they'll count as W's, but not as part of Sagarin, etc. so in a way they don't.

And none of the scoring/rebounding/etc stats will carry over as far as I know either.

then why do we play them? Ugh, we're division 1. I'd much rather see us play Quad C or NCTC, dont really know why though. I hope JJ doesnt have any of these BS games next year... I would like to see some more D-1 teams on the slate.

I hate to tell u this, but NCTC hasn't had a basketball team since Dennis Rodman came thru

i never knew rodman played for nctc.....

You know, we could play a high school team.... like Lincoln or something. Get a recruiting edge.

NAIA? Your kidding, right? What can we possibly gain towards conference play by playing these two games?

Hopefully a lot of confidence, a little more organization, and some game situation practice time for our bench guys like Howerton , Edwards, and Mangrum. I'm interested to see what those three guys can do with some serious minutes.

Yes this why I will be there.
