At church today I saw Bart Helsley, Keller Central High School's football coach and he was wearing a UNT coaches shirt. While he was a former player (88'-90'), could he be a consideration for a possible assistant? I'm sure him and TD are friends seeing as how they coach within 10 miles of eachother. Just some food for thought.

Its possible.  Its also possible that he is sporting the school pride and supporting the TD hire.

This is true which is also good news. It's always good to see people outside of Denton wearing North Texas gear.

huh.gif If you saw the guy at church, why didn't you just ask him instead of raising more speculation here? Wouldn't have hurt.

Would have but he was on his way out and I was talking with someone else. Maybe next week?

I would love to see any assistant coach hired that had a previous connection with NT. Former players especially, they bleed green. Keep Andy Brewster!!!!!
