Yeah, it was NUTS. STA has lost to Lakeland three years in a row in the state title game. Lakeland (whose mascot is the "Dreadnaughts") is the mythical US #1 this year -- I'd love to see them somehow play SLC.

It's going to OT now. This game is as incredible as the famous Tyler John Tyler vs. Plano East game.

For those that don't know, Lakeland is the Southlake Carroll of Florida, having won two consecutive state championships. Some have them ranked #1 in the nation this year.

STA scored all 35 of their points in the 4th quarter.

Looks to be headed to a second OT, with star player Chris Rainey (a Florida Gator commit) injured on the play.

I don't know how you measure schools from one state against another, but I do know this. STA definitely has the athletic ability to compete against anyone. Both of these teams are very athletic.

Yes, the game was a few weeks ago but I didn't know how it ended until now.

What an ending! I thought Trinty's coach made the biggest mistake I've ever seen. He went for it in double overtime instead of kicking the FG!

Ok, now I know. STA loses the game by not converting a fourth and goal...couldn't have been more than an inch or two shy of the goal line.
