No Huddle?

Dodge has stated that his offense really took off when he started to use the no-huddle. This change was at the same time SLC moved to 5A. I wonder if we will see a no huddle offense next year, or if it will take some time to get some used to the offense before we make a no huddle leap.

Should be time to install it this spring. Hopefully , we will get some mid-term transfers to go with the returning players.

According to that long article posted yesterday, Dodge has created a Frankenstein offense that has yet to be stopped. It includes the no-huddle, and I can't wait to see it.

From another thread I posted about the SLC no- huddle:

I saw SLC play Plano last year in the playoffs.

The thing that frustrated me most, as a Plano fan, was not the spread offense, but the no-huddle they ran. They lined up in their offensive sets, then 2-3 times change for a single play, pausing in between to look at their position coaches on the sidelines for the adjustment calls after the defense gets reset. Then they pass or run depending on what the defense shows and gives them.

Very difficult to defend the no-huddle when a defense can't substitute players because sometimes they would quick count and snap it. That's what was unbeatable to me.

Yes, SLC will look like they are going to run the play and then look to the sidelines for an adjustment, but not as often as some other teams you see that do this.

I'm not sure exactly what they read, never been a part of an offense that does it and only a few teams out here do it. I am guessing first and foremost he counts the men in the box, and he may also look at the coverage alignment. If someone with experience in this style of no huddle can tell us their system, that would be awesome.
