Start Promoting A Fouts Field "GREEN OUT" For TD's

i think the school is going to keep kelly green as the main one, at freshman orientation the shirts were kelly green and when ever going into the store it seems there are alot more kelly green then forest green clothing

That's fine with me. They did not ask the students, the faculty, or the alumni how they felt about changing the school colors. When a new school is opened, there is a schoolwide election to determine the school colors. How can a university change the school colors without consulting anyone?

I think the helmets look fine.  If they do change I really hope they don't go with the Philadelphia Eagles helmets.  Lets be original.  I'm not sure how good the new eagle would look either.  I say keep the "North Texas" on the helmets but a change of color wouldn't be bad.

I am just not that crazy about the font selected for the "North Texas" part on our present helmet. I think it is about as "plain Jane" as you can get, but what the heck, I have yet to see a helmet for UNT that has unified this board as the selection of Todd Dodge seems to have pulled off.

A helmet logo I do like is the "N T" where the letters are not directly on top of each other and when I showed someone a sample of that one day they asked me: "What does the "T N" stand for?"

This I do know: This new era we're in at UNT needs a whole new uniform design/look and a new helmet design would not hurt, either.

Folks, this is no longer the DD Ball era and we just don't need DD Ball era unis' IMHO. I would feel this way no matter who Dodge's predeccessor at UNT would have been quite frankly. New HF Coach ='s New Era ='s New Unis'? ? ? ?

All I say is we need something thats going to stick. We can't build tradition if we keep changing things. Also, it's harder for people to recognize us if we keep changing.

I have yet to see the school sell or give out the CORRECT Kelly green other than on some hats being sold at meangreensports.com/Voertmans. The closest color you will see to correct Kelly around here is what SLC uses. I too liked seeing our students in all green this past year. That is a standard from here on out. If we could just get them in the correct color of kelly would be even better. Not sure if this is even being addressed any more. I spoke with the manager of the NT Bookstore last spring and she said they were having a hell of a time finding a supplier that could get the correct green. I suggested she call on the suppliers of Marshall, Michigan State and SLC to find out who they use because they all seem to have it closer to the correct color than we have.

I agree with FFR. The new hat kelly green is the only real time you see that color....I would be surprized if we do not see a BRAND NEW football uniform.
