The hiring of Todd Dodge made the feature front page sports headlines in both the Port Arthur News and Beaumont Enterprise newspapers.

My only complaint in the news release was the mentioning of game attendance (9806) for the last home game, our average (16,000) was 30,000 fewer than the attendance at Texas Stadium for SLC's game; the firing of Dickey only a few weeks after his heart attack, and how the firing of Dickey upset a big time donor to UNT Athletics. MM's name was not mentioned, however.

Other than that, very good coverage and exposure for North Texas. I expect some followup coverage this weekend by a certain sports editor down here.

It seems like most of the authors cut and pasted from various articles over the past month with little regard to researching the issues more. rolleyes.gif

Hey, those are the facts. Negative they may be, but you deal with them head-on, not try to avoid them and hope they slide by.
