Board Problems

Sorry for the downtime folks, we were all out of town this weekend, so of course problems have to happen then.

We've taken a couple of steps to try and solve the problems, but these problems may be unavoidable at our current hosting location.

We made need to move hosting companies, which would lead to extended downtime as we install new software, move the database over, have the gomeangreen.com name reroute, etc...

One more thing, we have disabled searches for the time being. I haven't gone and disabled polls, but if everyone will be kind enough to not start any until we have all the problems resolved, it would be much appreciated.

No, we bought the new software, but haven't been able to upgrade becasue of the performance issues.

The board software will be upgraded when either:

1) our perfomance problems with our current host are fixed, or

2) when we move to a new host and have to reisntall all the software anyway

What type of hosting plan are you looking to switch to? IMHO, given the site's size a dedicated server or virtual dedicated server might solve many of our problems.
