of when spring ball starts and ends.  I am excited about it and we don't even have a new coach yet.

The head coach sets the dates. DD always liked his finished before spring break started.

Where could I find the 2007 football schedule?

It won't officially be out until usually spring. We do open at OU and play at SMUt and host a MAC team and WKU plus the SBC schedule should reverse from this year as far as home/away games.

So a first guess would be

Home:

Akron / other MAC

WKU

ULL

ULM

Troy

ASU

Away:

OU

SMU

MUTS

FIU

FAU

Rice (rumor)

also, I think that I remember WW stating on the SBC site that the UL_ and F_U doubles would be broken up starting in 2007. If true, sub a UL_ for a F_U. That would give us 10 games in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Not bad at all.

Maybe we could find someone who started Spring Practice inthe Spring Time? Maybe we could make the Green/White game on a Saturday rather than a Thursday night? Maybe even promote said game?

It seems like this has been such a wasted opportunity to get more folks involved.

Along those same lines of promotion, I would like to see us start selling season tickets sooner, like in February. Even if the schedule is not set officially there will be 5 or 6 home games. Charge $75 for a season ticket reserved/bought during the early period, $100 for it later.

I wouldn't bank on 6 home games...we will be playing 7 road games for quite some time

I guess that all depends on us. In other words if there are more butts in seats, we could afford a 6th home game.

You know ive always thought this could be used as a great day for North Texas Football.

Such as kick-off the day with the Greenbackers cooking out for the team and fans around noon along with the Beerman playing his great country music.

Followed by the annual gomeangreen.com bowl.

This followed by a performance by the Green Brigade

Followed by a great Green/White Football game

Which could then be followed by a concert of somekind with acts such as Bowling for Soup, Cross Canadian ragweed, etc.

All the while using all this to sell the program and more importantly season tickets for the upcoming season
