One last honor for Quinn

One of the true greats in the recent history of North Texas football picked up one last honor on Wednesday when Johnny Quinn was named first-team All-Sun Belt Conference. Offensive lineman Dylan Lineberry was also a first-team pick.

One couldn't have asked more from Quinn. He not only became the Mean Green's all-time leader in catches and receiving yards, he was also represented UNT in a first-class manner throughout his career. Quinn's habit of never talking about himself was enough to drive reporters nuts, but his heart was always in the right place.

While Quinn stole the spotlight, Lineberry was a solid player throughout his career.

Both will have a chance to continue their careers on the professional ranks.

There is little doubt UNT will miss both.

Class Acts for sure! We need more young men like Quinn and Lineberry. In fact, I believe we have numerous class acts on the team for the future. Not all will be recognized for athletic achievements but first class individuals no less. You guys keep up the good work and continue being positive role models for your University and Community. The future is bright for UNT!!
