Wow. This guy is a monster! He runs sprints with the team and lines up as scout team quarterback? Blows out a quadracept muscle trying to outlift his players in the weight room?

I also loved this quote:

"From my first memory of football, when I was 3, 4, 5 years old, I knew I'd play the game as long as I could," Harbaugh says, "then I would coach and then I would die."

I AGREE 100%!!!!!!!! Can you imagine averaging almost 500 of total offense per game!!!!?? I bet he looks good in Mean Green!!!!

I think he would be a great fit here at UNT. But I still would like them to interview Dodge. I would put these two in a tie for the leading candidate over Fisher in my book.

According to the article he recruited for WKU's 1AA national championship team. He raised money for the program by getting friends from the NFL to donate memorabilia for auctions. His sister is married to the Marquette Basketball Coach, perhaps he could talk his brother-in-law into a home and home series for basketball. I see nothing but positives, and this and the other article I posted answer almost any question one might have about his ability.

I want this guy. At North Texas, at this point in our ascension up the ladder in 1A, what we need is a guy who has passion. Passion for his players. Passion for his school. Above all passion to win. I guarantee you that going into the weight room WITH your coach will cause you to play until you can't play anymore...especially when compared with the alternative of being told that nobody loves you and it's you against the world.

If he interviews as intensely as he coaches, then this might be a done deal.

This is the kind of passion that it takes to get our program moving to the next level. This is the kind of passion that motivates players, their parents, and the "the crowd" (students, alumni, community).

Passion for the job is why I liked Carthel. Harbaugh just might have him beat on that.

What kind of offense does this guy run?

Come on guys, he's just the first interview. Yall don't buy the first car you look at when your out car shopping do you?

Harbaurgh may (in deed) be the real deal and may be right for UNT. He sounds good (and to use the adjective many described MUTS all these years), uh, sexy, too. Yet, who else (do we know of) has interviewed him in the past and not hired him? If such interviews took place, why didn't they hire him?

I hope much research goes into this hire no matter who we hire because this is the coach who will take us into a new NCAA D1-A football palace between those 2 Texas interstates on the western edge of Denton and he sure as hell will need to be PR-minded (of which such coaches who have "it" have been known to sell several thousand additional football tickets to curiosity seekers)?

The non-scholarship head football coaches job Harbaugh has concerns me almost as much as Dodge's HS job concerns some of you.

Lets look at least 2 or 3 cars before we buy, right?
