Jimbo's success can all be placed on Jameis Winston's shoulders in the 2nd half of the Rose Bowl. He has never accomplished anything since and his mediocre stint at A&M for a bajillion dollars proved that.

One head coach had more career games with less than ten first downs than any other coach in modern football history. (although this is readily apparent, I know of no way to confirm). 

Jimbo's career was on a meteoric rise until he made the mistake of hiring this former head coach to be his offensive coordinator. A&M finally forced Jimbo to replace that coordinator this past offseason but it was too late. The Aggies lost their starting quarterback during the 2023 season and the recent hiring of a competent offensive coordinator was not enough to save Jimbo's career.

You are correct. They were going to pay him $600k until the regents stepped in if memory serves.
