LSU offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher will interview for the North Texas job this weekend, I'm told. Fisher also has been mentioned for the openings at N.C. State and Arizona State.

Apparently the main source is The Sporting News. The writers say that Jimbo Fisher and Les Miles really REALLY do not get along with eachother and looking to get out of LSU!!!!

UNT will welcome him with open arms and a filled brand new stadium!!!!

I think Jimbo would be a good hire. I've heard from a buddy of mine that went to LSU that Jimbo and Les aren't the best of friends so I bet whether it's NT or not he's out of LSU this year.

"If" Fisher would tak ethe NT job, no doubt he would turn in his resignation immediately, LSU bowl game or not.

If the speculation is true that Fisher is also being courted by UAB, Arizona State, and NC State then I would imagine we would not be too high on that list. Sad but true.

      Why Support this Program?….Seriously!?

      I don’t know why we are nitpicking the legacy of the only coach in 50 years that has put multiple team trophies in our trophy case. If you omit coaches who earned Hall of Fame status after leaving here you are left with Odus Mitchell and Dickey as the only coaches to ever “dominate” any conference for any length of time. Now looking back through history I am even more frustrated that in 2004 it appears we never tried to get Jerry Moore to come back to UNT. But come to think of it, maybe it is karma. A program that raves about Hayden Fry every opportunity rarely honor Odus Mitchell properly. A 20 year tenure with 10 conference titles. We should be playing on Odus Mitchell Field inside (DATCU, Apogee, or whatever corporation that wants cough up naming rights money) stadium.
