Who said Fisher was out now?  RV just said he didn't have an interview this weekend, maybe Monday?

And I'm not sold on Eric Price at all.  What has he done besides getting jobs on his Dad's staffs?

QB coach a couple years at Cal-Poly and Northern Arizona, QB coach with Dad at Wash. St., one year as QB coach at the Jets (why not longer?), off a couple years,  and now at UTEP since 2004 with Daddy again.  This is quality?

Working for Daddy ain't so bad when it's clear that Daddy is a pretty good coach.

I'm not saying Price is better than Fisher and if RV can land Fisher then great. I'd be shocked if we could afford him. Anyway, who would you rather have - Butler, Nix (with no Texas ties), Chambers or Price? We know that RV made contact with all of the above except for Price.

Price at least has experience with X & O's and his offense at UTEP is pretty good. He's also suppose to have experience recruiting the DFW area. The fact that worked with the Jets is just an added bonus.

Finally, judging by his comments to the media, I think he would be excited about the job which would be a nice change. I bet he's also learned a thing or two from good o'l daddy about how to market the program.

I'm just saying give the guy a call. That's all. How can you not?

As long as he's not addicted to T-bars or something biggrin.gif

There is a reason he has been with his Dad – It’s called putting your family first when things are going bad. Mike Price has two sons working for him. After the problems in Alabama both sons had opportunities to go elsewhere but choose to stay with their Dad until things worked out. So if putting your family first relates to “quality” then yes this is quality!

UTEP = 5-7 this season. Get back to us when 9-3. dry.gif

I'll support whoever RV choses but my first choice right now is Eric Price.

Offensive coach at big programs, knows Texas especially DFW, and a proven winner.

And dad wouldn't have him around so long if he couldn't produce. Family or not, the name of the game is winning.
