8 of the 11 new head coaches saw improvement with new team in 2006.

1 of the new coaches who declined in wins from the previous seasons really shouldnt count. Pat Fitzgerald of Northwestern took over due to death , not a firing.

Good find '03, I did notice a small gltch in info, Erickson didn't replace Tom"What's a Defense?" Cable, he replaced Nick Holt.

what happened with Holt?? I recall he was a highly regarded hire away from SC... did he leave for greener pastures or did Ida run him off after two years?

I dont know if he was fired or stepped down or what , but he now is the DC of USC. I think thats an upgrade from Idaho
