I am really surprised at this announcement. Who would've ever imagined this turn of events.

First I am honored to accept this challenge, even at my advanced age of 69. I am full of energy (and, I might add I've been told more than a few times that I am also full of bulls--t)!

I will run a wide open offense, with line splits that will make Texas Tech look like they are running a two tight end formation. I will spread the line from sideline to sideline. I will recruit speed, and more speed. I want linemen who at 300 lbs can run a 4.25. I want to scare the hell out of every defense we play.

Also, I will bring in a staff with John McDowell as my offensive coordinator. Then I will reach deep into the talent pool and hire PlummMeanGreen as our pr coordinator (in charge of explaining why I am doing what I am-he can do that in full color press releases).

Finally, I realize thaty 95% of being a head coach is selling the program. Like selling the sizzle before the steak. (I think another great coach made this statement).
