That is a tough one. Each have connections to UT and to UNT. Dodge coached at UNT played at UT. Chambers coaches at UT and playd at UNT. The thing that worries me is if Chambers was to come from UT and their seemingly endless budget to the comparative shoestring UNT has. I like both.

Based on all the possibilities that I have heard of thus far, I hope that these two are at the top of the list. Among other things, Chambers offers the loyalty that only an alumnus can bring as well as possessing the contacts to recruit Texas, DISD, and southern Dallas County. Among other things, Dodge brings previous North Texas coaching experience as well as plenty of current metroplex recruiting contacts and the preference for a wide open offense. I just hope that these two are ready, willing, and able to accept the job and that RV and company can make the right choice.

Loyalty, ah yes, someone who can see how facilities have improved and who bleeds green. Someone who "wants" to be here? What a great concept.

Dodge, if not Carthel.

Rick

I would agree. I really liked Dodge and still do, but I really like Carthel and the more I have read about Mickey Matthews at JMU, I like him. With Matthews and Carthel you get more than just them, as they would likely bring a good many assistants with them.
