Question about Dodge

I don't doubt Dodge is a great offensive coach. My question is how much of an impact is it having his system implemented starting in the junior high level, so in essence by the time they are in HS he has already cherry picked the best players and they're very familiar with his system.

That contrasted with players that he first has to recruit and then learn his system fresh each year, just a thought/concern.

Having a feeder school definitely has an advantage over schools that don't, but most other schools have an advantage over SLC when it comes to talent and athleticism. Plus, the learning curve for college level players should be shorter than high scoolers.

I thought the same thing about UH and that tricked up Stephenville O.

But it seems to be working for them.

See also about 1/3 of all high school programs today....many many high schools are going to the spread offense if they are not alreay there now. Granted SLC runs it very well, but many of the kids today want to play in that system as you are starting to see colleges run it now.
