The problem with CFN bowl theory is that the New Orleans Bowl get the first pick from the SBC. The N.O. Bowl will only pass on the SBC champ if,

1. that team is gauteed another bowl (the SBC would insist on their champ being in a bowl.)

2. the team they select in place of the champ will be a bigger draw (the bowl isn't going to give attendence away.)

Rumor has it , Next year there will be a Gallery Furniture Toilet Bowl @ DD practice field in Denton,TX. Teams picked will not be based on wins/losses , but on which 2 teams have overcome the worst situations in the country in that year.
