What a great day for UNT athletics. No more whinning and complaining from someone who should have never been coaching at UNT.

I will always see this man as having been more harmful to this schools football program than he ever was beneficial. I believe strongly in my heart that he held this program back from where we could and should have been by now.

I believe that he is living testiment to "The Peter Principal."

I also believe Dickey is the epitome of mediocrity.

Haven't you kicked the horse enough? Give the guy a break and please learn to move on - if not for Dickey then for your family...

WOW! The guy hasn't been up to the task over the last several years, but come on! He was responsible for FOUR SBC championships. He took the program to heights it has never been before.

Let's at least look at the accomplishments along with the disappointments.

We have accomplished 4 straight Division 1 titles, an unprecedented feat at any level of sports....Dickey took a program emerging from Div 2 status to being among the elite in the mid-majors...The man did this while sacrificing his family, health, and well being....Dickey is the man.......

Craig Helwig has done more harm to this university than any one person in our entire history...If you dont believe me than just reminisce about our days playing alongside SFA and Mcneese St. and remember where we still play in Fouts Field...

Strictly out curiousity, but how many consecutive titles (state or otherwise) has Coach Dodge gotten while at SLC?

I think Wright Waters has more to do with us winning conference titles than DD does.

Please explain

Without Boise State going to the WAC and Waters bringing football to the SBC, I don't see one season where we beat Boise State and win a conference championship. '02 would have been our best chance but the it still looks iffy even that year.
