Not to pull a Navenja (sp) Davenport in your laundry basket, but my company gets about 100 applications a week for internships. Imagine all the assistants, lower division coaches, and even big school GAs who could just fire off a resume for this one.

Can you imagine how many local 2A and 3A HS coaches who might be in that pile of 50 names on RV's desk.

They know that NT has a history of hiring just anyone as their new head coach, now that is a proven fact...

RV schedule this upcoming week: road trips to Argyle, Slidell, Sanger and Prosper

At least he can save the school money by hiring a nobody, since he is allocated a certain amount of money to hire a coach with......

Like any employer, I am sure he has filtered a lot of resumes to the "don't call us - we'll call you" pile. (Yes I know Playmaker was kidding)

The only HS coach that needs to be considered right now is Todd Dodge. Everyone else...move up a few levels and show some sucess.

      Don't get to far ahead of our self we will have to #hit6 first. I would act like this bowl is bad. if your team was better we would be in a better bowl. like I said before, I do not care which bowl, just win.

      Around the League / UNT Opponents

      as mentioned in another thread, three pretty easy wins last night (11/19) for Rice, Tulane and Charlotte. Evansville lost 80-30 to Ohio State. UNI won. not all, but the most interesting games coming up: tonight (11/20) - not a ton...Tulsa host UALR (who already blew out UTSA), but if Tulsa is any good should take care of. 11/21 - Memphis @ San Francisco ; FAU v. Oklahoma State (3 day tourney...would play Miami or Drake next) ; Oregon State host Oregon ; Houston Christian v. Rice ; ECU v. Jacksonville State (3 day tourney...would play Toledo or Stetson next) 11/22 - Utah State v. Iowa and St. Louis v. Wichita State (same venue, but not a tourney) ; McNeese v. Illinois State and UAB v. Longwood (same side of bracket) ; Temple v. Florida State ; ECU/FAU game 2 of 3 11/23 - Temple v. UMASS 11/24 - High Point v. Missouri State (3 day tourney...would play ODU or Boston College next) there will be more games 11/23 and 11/24 as some of these tournaments shake out, but definitely some interesting games starting tomorrow

      Texas Wesleyan (11/21/24)

      Texas Wesleyan is one of those athlete mill schools that take advantage of kids/parents who really want to be a college athlete. The majority of students at the school are athletes and the teams will take almost anyone to be on the roster as long as they can qualify for an overpriced college loan to afford the tuition.
