In these increasingly Fall-to-Winter dreary days in Upstate New York, I like to lounge about looking through my beloved Texas Football even more than when I first get it in the Summer. Did you know that at least 5 teams in the "privates and parochials" are named "Warriors" (all of them parochials, I believe). And who are the 5 teams listed as "independents"? Are they in the UIL, and if so, why aren't they in some class/district?

Anyway: I just notice that on page 22, in a box at the bottom of the page about "the progression of high school record book," that there is this: "1980, Todd Dodge, Port Arthur Jefferson, First to top 3,000 passing yards in a season (3,135)."

I assume this is the same Todd Dodge at SLC?

If so, where did he play in college, and how did he do? Forgive my aging memory if he was a standout somewhere.

Dodge's salary requirement may go up if he wins State.  But I think he would be a great recruiter.

Why do you think that since he has never recruited before? His last college experience was a decade ago with a previously failed NT experiment in hiring a high school coach. And that coach had won 5A championships with two schools, not just one.
