Well... they're going to trash talk the university over firing Dickey which just shows how out of touch the local media is with the happenings in Denton.

It's not that they don't know what's going on. They do, they are just playing an angle that generates listening, publicity, etc. It's why Mike Rhyner has been doing the NTSU gag for so long...tick people off, they post messages, someone listens to see it he does it again, etc. It's how talk radio works, it's all about the "heat". It's about as authentic as wrestling. And ESPN Radio does it, too.

Actually, George and Craig were the ones doing the talking and the firing of Dickey wasn't the subject. The subject was boosters having most of the power in college sports.

George agreed that if a donor committed that much money he should have a right to name it what they please. Craig blamed RV for letting MM push him around, blamed MM for strong arming the university and DD for not going to MM and asking him not to add this stipulation, because of the awkward situation and his bad record.

So, there was some knowledg of the situation.

Craig brought up the point of At what point do you draw the line for what doners get.

If Mac ponied up several mil would he be entitled to name the new stadium

"The D Dickey who was wrongfully fired by the University Stadium"

I thought it was a good segment and Junior Miller pointed out what NT03 was stating last week.....you don't name a practice field or anything for that matter, after a coach who has a losing record and you just fired, especially one that is STILL coaching your team.
