You would think Darrell wearing a stupid Mattress Mac cap for 2-3 hours (on national TV) was more than enough marketing for 1MM.

I appreciate the guy paying for the team to fly down for Andrew Smith's funeral, but this guy has not exactly been a Boone Pickens to this university.

Do we have a Boone Pickens? Seriously, is there anyone who has donated more money to the athletic program in the past few years? Is there anyone who has come even close? UNT does not have a lot of "big donors". It would take 4,000 people in the Mean Green Club donating the minimum of $250 each to match his gift. I'm not saying we should of kept Dickey because of his friendship with a big donor, but I think that donor does deserve some respect for donating $1,000,000.

I agree. He definately deserves a lot of respect for his donations, but he also made it very clear his donations were tied to DD. Now that DD is gone, his donations will more than likely dry up.
