Unless you simply get lucky, most head football coaches at the D1 level take a minimum of two years to have a winning record. That is, they don't have a winning record until their 3rd year!

In this world , everyone wants a winner now. I know it's not fair , but it's just the way the world turns. People feel that coaches who pull out the " Im on a 2,3,4 year plan" are just using that as excuses. I want a coach with confidence who come in and says " I want a winner now "

MTSU didnt have to wait too long on their new coach to start winning , I dont feel we should have to either.
