I do not think there is one set yet.. My guess is they would like to have a coach hired by mid December (help recruiting) would be the first choice. But they will take the time to make sure they get the correct coach.

I have a feeling it will be close to 45-60 days which will hurt recruiting as a new coach/staff will have alot of catching up to do, but if we sign the right coach it won't be a problem.

Looking at MTSU last year... they did as follows:

11/21 : ... relieves Head Football Coach, Andy McCullom, of his duties effective at the end of the season. LINK

12/12 : ... names Rick Stockstill as Head Football Coach to replace McCullom in 2006. LINK

...that's a total of 21 days (3wks). I'm not saying our search will be as fast, but this might be a start for estimates, obviously I would expect (hope for) a slightly longer hunt to occur.

I seriously doubt that RV fired DD without first having a strong candidate list, and he probably has already been talking to some of them.
